Caitlin Hurst, class of 2013, is a writer for the Arts and Entertainment section of the Foothill Dragon Press. She was born in England, like her parents, and recently became a U.S. citizen. Although she loves England, she loves living in Ventura a lot more. Her creative lifestyle is reflected by her hobbies: writing, improvised acting, drawing and painting. She loves creative writing, either writing stories or poetry. Over the last year she has become a regular at the Ventura Improv Company’s improv classes and shows. She spends four days a week at Ventura Improv Company downtown. However, her passion for art exceeds her passion for acting. Caitlin hopes to translate her artistic talent to a career in the future. She considers going to the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Right now, however, she has no concrete plans for her future, other than living in Ventura. Caitlin has strong views on her government and can’t wait until she is old enough to vote. For now Caitlin just wants to enjoy her life as a teenager and nurture her obsession with cats by playing with her kitty-cat Bobby.
