Julie Knowles is a sophomore and a first-year photographer and videographer for the Foothill Dragon Press. She is excited to be a part of Foothill’s first sports team and Art 3, which leaves Knowles with no paper un-doodled on. Until recently, Knowles has participated only in track, but will soon tryout for the softball team and is currently enjoying the challenge that Foothill’s CAP off-season PE program provides. In her free time, she enjoys unhealthy Netflix bingeing, watching her favorite show, Friends, and social media like Instagram, Snapchat, and Ask.fm. When not drawing or sketching, she can be found cuddling with her two dogs, Jack and Sophie. Otherwise, she will be rocking out to music by her love, James Morrison, as well as classic rock artists like Queen, AC/DC, and Dexy’s Midnight Runners (hint: the way to her heart is through their passionate rendition of “Come on Eileen.”) Her other music interests revolve around the genre she classifies as pop/rock. After high school, She plans to attend Ventura College and eventually study photography, filmmaking, journalism, or any other kind of art. Knowles hopes to curb her fear of public speaking, which comes second only to creepy dolls, through contributing to the Dragon Press this year.
