The day was filled with a mix of excitement and nostalgia as students reflected on their high school years and looked forward to their next adventures.

On May 30, 2024, the BioScience Academy held their annual FAD Night, honoring their seniors and allowing the new freshman parents to see all of the projects that their child will be doing. The night started off with a presentation for the freshman parents by Cohort 18’s presidents, Cameryn Henuber ‘24 and Taylor Liston ‘24. This was followed by mini presentations by all of the academy’s students where they got to talk about a specific topic that they have learned about this past year. After all of the presentations, the freshman parents left and the night continued for the senior parents. Tacos and many different desserts were served for dinner as the juniors in Cohort 19 performed a short skit, directed by Ian Clayton ‘25. Before the senior awards were passed out, Henuber and Liston gave speeches, reflecting on the past three years and all of the memories that they have all made together as a cohort. This was followed by cords being passed out, and Mika Anderson, the academy director, gave a brief speech for each senior talking about how much they grew during their time with the academy. After each senior received their cords, Anderson gave special specific awards to just a handful of seniors to highlight their accomplishments.

Friends and families gathered at Buena High School's (Buena) gymnasium in the evening of May 29, 2024 to celebrate the graduating class. The gym was full of decorations, giving seniors a warm and memorable award ceremony with graduation around the corner. Students were acknowledged with ropes and medals, wishing them the best for the future.

On the sunny day of May 24, 2024, students gathered in the Foothill Technology High School's (Foothill Tech) quad, from the early hours of sunrise, eager for the performances awaiting them during the annual Air Guitar. Hosted by the Associative Student Body (ASB), Air Guitar is an event that is looked forward to not just by students, but also teachers and staff alike. This year's performances consisted of singing, traditional dance and many tributes and references to MLF. Overall with student acts, the teacher act and the wide range of food to purchase during the food fair, Air Guitar was enjoyed by all this year. The picture above shows Jaylean Hernandez ‘24 who never fails to draw in a crowd and impress everyone with her traditional Folklorico dancing.

As advance placement (AP) exams come to a close after two weeks, students begin to feel a sense of relief and can now relax as all of their hard work has paid off. On May 4, 2024, the long awaited prom took place at the Poinsettia Pavilion with the theme of the "Roaring '20s". The entrance had a balloon arch with red and gold carpets welcoming students. After getting their wristbands, Associative Student Body (ASB) provided students with a place to check in bags and coats so they could be stored safely during the dance. Throughout the night, more and more students gathered in front of the DJ to dance, while others played games outside and socialized with friends.

Foothill Technology High School's (Foothill Tech) Interact Club teams up with the wellness center to provide free resources for any student in need. Located in the wellness center, are grey baskets full of supplies. They store markers, pencils, pens, and notebooks for all of student's academic needs. They also have hygiene products like toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant and feminine products.

On the evenings of April 17, 18 and 19, Foothill Technology High School (Foothill Tech) students, who are apart of the Drama Department, put on a show of "The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza" for parents, students and staff to enjoy. This is the Drama department’s second production of the school year starting with "Elf The Musical" in December. Parents and students filled the chairs in Spirito Hall bringing flowers, cards and gifts to support their students, as well as cash to buy snacks that were provided by Drama department as a fundraiser for the club. The night was filled with joy, fear, laughter and gloating all provided by the students of the Drama department.
