Chloey Settles is a junior and a first-year journalist for the Foothill Dragon Press. When Chloey started high school, she was nervous because of the scary life transition. One of her high school goals was to join a club or a class that would help her come out of her shell and learn more about herself. Ever since she found out about the journalism program in freshman year, she longed to be a part of it. She couldn’t be more excited that she made it in. When Chloey has any free time she is almost always reading, because she says it is like a movie playing out in your head. She loves to go to Barnes and Noble and read her favorite book, which is Impulse by Ellen Hopkins. Outside of school, she has a passion for music, which was put on display ever since she was little. Her dad was a professional guitarist, and that opened her up to many different opportunities and passions. She played the violin in middle school and learned the guitar and a bit of the piano. After high school, Chloey wants to be an elementary school teacher because of her fourth grade teacher who inspired her in many ways. She hopes to help young people grow into successful adults.
