On Wednesday night, the Foothill girls’ basketball team won their quarter final game of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Division IV playoffs over the Pacific High School Pirates.
The Dragons won with a final score of 58-31 and are advancing to the semifinal round.
Head Coach Jason Edgmond thinks his team could have kept the intensity for all four quarters, because the Dragons got outscored 14-5 in the fourth quarter, after being up 53-17 at the end of the third.
According to Edgmond, Annika Kinnaman ‘19 “set the tone” for the team early in the game. Abby Bova ‘19 also stood out to Edgmond, as she had nine assists in the first half alone.
“Next game, we [play] Beverly Hills,” he said. “Another game, another league winner, so they’re going to be good.”
Foothill plays at Beverly Hills High School on Saturday, Feb. 25, with a chance to make the CIF championship.
