Girls’ soccer

The girls’ soccer program ripped off an impressive undefeated league campaign, at 6-0-3 and 8-2-3 overall.

In the postseason, the girls ousted county rival Fillmore High School 2-1 in the first round of CIF, making them one of Foothill Tech’s programs to make it out of the first round. However, they lost their second-round game to Ontario Christian High School 2-0.

Awards for the Dragons were headed by Tri-Valley Goalkeeper of the Year to transfer Addison Fallon ‘25 and Coach of the Year Patty Gomez.

First-team honors were given to Lily Shadden ‘23, Avery Denger ‘23, Malia Sanchez ‘23 and Adrianna Rodriguez ‘23.

Shadden, a division 1 commit to Southern Utah University and inductee to the Foothill Tech Athletic Wall of Fame said of the season “We went into league as the underdogs and came out undefeated league champs.”

Second-team honors were given to Claire Meehan ‘23, Taylor Liston ‘24,  Eva Goncalves ‘25, Cameryn Henuber ‘24 and Tyler Hickerson ‘26.

The program will be hard pressed to replace the four year varsity production of Shadden and Denger, along with the defensive leadership of Sanchez, but a balanced crop of underclassmen is poised to fill their large shoes.
