Archetype Origins

Throughout all of written history, archetypes have been traced through fiction, providing a common thread for humanity. Archetypes originated from common stories across cultures and throughout societies, more recently evolving into a common form of literary shorthand. Having changed significantly from their origin, many archetypes mean more than meets the eye. From evil uncles and henchmen, to the archetypical queen and many others, archetypes have become an important and prevalent part of popular fiction.
