Archetype Origins
Throughout all of written history, archetypes have been traced through fiction, providing a common thread for humanity. Archetypes originated from common stories across cultures and throughout societies, more recently evolving into a common form of literary shorthand. Having changed significantly from their origin, many archetypes mean more than meets the eye. From evil uncles and henchmen, to the archetypical queen and many others, archetypes have become an important and prevalent part of popular fiction.
Comments on articles are screened and those determined by editors to be crude, overly mean-spirited or that serve primarily as personal attacks will not be approved. The Editorial Review Board, made up of 11 student editors and a faculty adviser, make decisions on content.
