On Tuesday, the Foothill girls’ basketball team played against Grace Brethren High School and beat them by 29 points, with a final score of 51-22.
Coach Jason Edgmond believes the only problem during the game was that the team could have done better in getting the ball back after missed shots by the opposing team.
“We could have rebounded better on the defensive side,” said Edgmond.
Besides catching more rebounds, Edgmond believes that the team played well and they did a good job protecting the ball, making it difficult for the opposing team’s defense.
“We move[d] the ball on offense really well, and our pressure defense caused a lot of problems [for the opposing team],” he said.
The leading scorers of the game were junior Sienna Romero, Becca Negrette having scored 11 points.
The team has had three wins and zero losses in the Frontier League, and has had five wins and three losses overall.
Edgmond is proud of the way the team played overall and beleives the team played well on both offense and defense.
“The team played very well tonight, we came out and overwhelmed them on defense and our offense passed the ball very well,” said Edgmond.
