The Foothill girls’ basketball team defeated Cate School by a single point, with a final score of 35-34, giving Foothill the game.
Coach Jason Edgmond felt that when on offense, the team missed many possible points.
“We missed to[o] many easy opportunities on the offensive end,” said Edgmond.
Edgmond believed that the game-changing play was the last three-pointer of the game made by junior Vanessa Ojeda.
“We scored the final six points of the game, all in the last minute,” he said.
The leading scorers of the game were juniors Vanessa Ojeda and Lexi Woodward, both with nine points.
In the Frontier League, Foothill has had four wins and zero losses, and six wins and three losses overall.
The next girls’ basketball game is an away game on Tuesday, Jan. 20 against Malibu High School.
