The Foothill girls’ varsity volleyball team defeated Garden Street Academy at the Girls Inc. gym in Santa Barbara on Wednesday. The team played four sets and scored 3-0, 25-14, 25-21, and 25-12, leading the team to victory.
”What could have gone better is more effort when we realized they were struggling, and instead of giving up trying to focus [on still] playing hard,” said sophomore varsity player Payton Grenier.
Greiner felt the team did well but was slightly lacking.
“As a team we played strong, but a little lazy knowing that the team we were about to play was not very good,” said Grenier
Grenier felt she played well, but could have done better on a personal level.
”I feel as if I played well. Not my best, but I did well in the end,” she said.
As a whole, she feels her team has vastly improved. ”You can see where my team is improving in and I’m excited that we are [making] progress,” said Grenier. “People better watch out.”
The volleyball team has two wins and six losses in league so far this season, with two wins and seven losses overall.
