Less than a block away from Foothill, Fresh & Easy is a convenient destination if you are looking for a quick meal at lunchtime or after school.

With fresh options and healthy snacks, Fresh & Easy has everything you need to get through the day feeling satisfied and energized. Try some of these inexpensive lunch options that you can find just down the street from school.

Lunch suggestions for under $7:

Entree:
Quinoa, spinach, and mixed berry salad $3.99
Quinoa is full of whole grains, fiber, and protein which will help keep you full throughout the day. Spinach is rich in in many essential nutrients such as calcium which promotes bone health.
Side:
Carrots and hummus dip $1.29
Instead of dipping your carrots in ranch dressing, try hummus. Hummus has fewer calories per serving than ranch and is also low on the glycemic index, which means it will help keep your blood sugar levels steady.
Side:
Roasted salted seaweed $.98
Next time you’re craving a salty snack, try roasted seaweed. The crispy texture and savory flavor provide a much lower calorie alternative to a bag of chips.

Entree:
Turkey brie cranberry sandwich $3.59
Lean meats such as turkey and chicken have high protein content with less fat than red meat. Cranberries are rich in antioxidants that can strengthen your immune system and help prevent you from getting sick.
Side:
Popchips $2.69
Popchips are popped instead of fried, so they have much less fat and fewer calories than classic potato chips and they still taste just as good.
Side:
Real fruit strip $.50
Fruit strips are a perfect on-the-go snack and they taste great while giving you a serving of fruit at the same time. However, they do have more sugar than fresh fruit so enjoy these in moderation.

Entree:
California rolls $3.99
If you’re tired of having your usual sandwich everyday for lunch, try shaking things up with California rolls.
Side:
Cashew halves $.98
Cashews have less fat than most other nuts. The fat that they do contain is monounsaturated fat, which is healthy (in moderation of course) and can help prevent heart disease.
Side:
Baked cheese puffs $.99
Baked cheese puffs provide a healthier alternative to Cheetos and still have the cheesy goodness you love. Unlike Cheetos, these cheese puffs are baked instead of fried.
