Sinjin Serrano is a sophomore, first-year journalist and part of the Buena marching band. Sinjin is also a Features writer for the Foothill Dragon Press. He admires Foothill’s small campus and friendly atmosphere that motivates him to do better everyday. Last year one of his favorite teachers was former journalism instructor Melissa Wantz who always pushed him to write his very best. He is taking BioScience and Journalism this year and likes both classes, but dreads the schedule conflicts that may arise. Sinjin is passionate about reading, playing retro video games and learning more in the field of computer science. As an avid reader his favorite place to read and check out books is the EP Foster Library. Though not playing any well known sports, he is a very active member of the marching band. Currently playing the trumpet, he has high hopes of a leadership position next year. In band he most enjoys hanging out with friends and performing, which allows him to tell a story with his music. Sinjin is not yet sure about his aspirations, but knows that wherever he’s going he wants to help people.
